Hackathon

This Hackathon allows selected PUMPS+AI participants to port, improve and accelerate their own tools, applications or codes by using the latest CUDA and AI features on a powerful GPU-based cluster in Europe.

There are two kinds of candidates: those that do not have their code ported/working, where the main motivation to participate is to port the code to CUDA or start using AI, and the candidates that have their codes already working and want to explore more advanced strategies.

At least one expert mentor will be assigned to every selected Hackathon participant. Our international Mentoring Board is composed of researchers and CUDA/AI experts from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Barcelona Supercomputing Center.

To participate in the pre-selection, you must indicate in the PUMPS+AI registration form that you are interested in the hackathon and give us some details about your experience and your code. The PUMPS+AI committee will select the best candidates, and notify the accepted ones a few weeks before the summer school dates.

No prior GPU/AI experience is necessary, although desirable. The format of our Hackathon consists of one-day intensive mentoring on the Sunday before the regular school activities start, plus follow-ups during the school week.

Bring your codes with you and join us for this extensive immersion in GPU computing and AI!
